Darius felt uneasy. Very uneasy. He wanted to be anywhere rather than in this dark forest with gnarled old trees. Although he was not superstitious, but still this forest had something magical about it.
Finally, Darius asked: „Do you have network connection now?“
Markus answered: „Wait, I see... No internet or mobile network
ironically not even GPS, altough this is transmitted via satelites, right?“
„Yes, actually already.“
A short break.
„Hey, I think we are lost.“ Darius finally said.
„Oh honestly, I still had not noticed.“ Markus sarcastically said.
They went father on the way.
„What was that!“ Darius shouted shocked.
„What?“ Markus asked.
„That!!!“
„What?!“
„This noise!“
Suddenly there was a loud howl. Markus turned around.
„This noise?“
„Yes!“
„Then I know were it comes from.“
Darius also turned around.
„Holy shit!“
In front of them there stood a huge black dog with red glowing eyes, shaggy fur, razor-sharp, 10 cm long teeth and murderous claws. Markus turned and ran, but Darius stopped as if frozen. The dog jumped up to him, but at the last second saved Markus Darius with a flying leap. They scrambled up. Now they ran both. The Monster pursued. Mark grabbed a branch on a tree and let clap the dog on the snout. The dog howled and fell back a little, but he immediately took up the chase again. Darius lungs burned and his legs ached. He wished to be as sporty as his brother, who still looked as if he would walk. Darius stumbled and fell. Markus helped him up. They ran through the trees, stumbled through the bushes and suddenly they stood in front of a 10 meter vertical rock wall. The dog came slowly toward her, baring his teeth. They felt his hot, smelly breath on his face. Darius was close to fainting. The beast raised his paw for the final strike. Suddenly a silhouette dropped and the dog collapsed.
